About Charlie’s Campaign
What started as a fairly theoretical discussion a couple of years ago over a beer in the pub (doesn’t it always?) is now reality and I am soon off to Tanzania to attempt to climb Mt Kilimanjaro! At just under 20,000 feet, it is Africa’s highest mountain and the highest free-standing mountain in the world. As part of my climb, I am raising money for a local Tanzanian school, the Ikirwa School (www.ikirwaschool.org) which provides English language education to the local Midawe village children. It is a well-established charity and anything you can donate will help the school to grow and be able to offer places to more children. I am looking forward to visiting the school during my trip. Wish me luck!
