8 Day TK Lemosho Route with 5 Day Safari to Tarangire, Lake Eyasi , Ndutu & Ngorongoro Crater

This safari itinerary is recommended from November to April when we expect the migration to be in the south.


Day 1: Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) 

Once you have completed customs formalities and collected your luggage, please exit the airport building and then look out for our driver who should be wearing a black Team Kilimanjaro t-shirt and carrying a placard with your name on it, who will be waiting under a shelter for you at the meeting point outside. Our driver will transfer you to your hotel in Arusha for your overnight.

Your chief guide will come to The Outpost Lodge for your pre-climb briefing at approximately 1800, during which he will introduce himself, brief you on everything that will be happening throughout the duration of the climb, check any kit that you may have concerns over, issue any kit hire items that have been requested and he will also deal with any final pre-climb administration and answer any questions you may have.


Day 2 - 9: Your mountain guide and supporting crew will collect you from your hotel at approximately 0730 to transfer you to Kilimanjaro's Lemosho Gate to start your private 8 day TK Lemosho β€˜Advantage Series’ climb.

Day 9: We will collect you from Mweka Gate when you finish your climb and will return you to The Outpost Lodge for your overnight stay in the family suite and a twin room on a B&B basis.

Optional: Your safari driver will come to your hotel at 1800 to brief you about the next few days events and to answer any questions you may have about safari arrangements.


Day 10: Your driver will collect you from your hotel at around 0900. Transfer to Tarangire National Park for game drive. Overnight within the national park at Nasikia Ndovu Tented Camp.

Day 11: Morning game drive in Tarangire National Park. Afternoon transfer to Lake Eyasi for your overnight stay at Ziwani Lodge.

Day 12: Very early morning transfer from your lodge to a location recently reconnoitred by your local Eyasi guide, where we will find some Hadzabe Bushmen hunters to join on their morning hunt, learning aspects of hunting and survival training along the way. Afterwards, we move to a larger settlement where we meet the Hadzabe ladies and learn some of their foraging skills.

Afternoon transfer to Lake Ndutu area, with game drives en route to Nasikia's Mobile Migration Camp for your first night stay.

Day 13: Morning game drives within the Ndutu region of Serengeti in hopes of witnessing the wildebeest migration during birthing season.

Afternoon transfer to Ngorongoro Crater Rim for your overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge.

Day 14: Early morning descend into the Crater for a game drive in hopes of witnessing the Big 5. In Africa, the Big Five is made up of the lion, rhinoceros, leopards, elephant and Cape buffalo. All of these animals are viewable within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, including the crater and are protected thanks to the wildlife conservation efforts of Tanzania.

Afternoon transfer to Arusha for your overnight stay at The Outpost Lodge.

Day 15: Please be ready to be collected for your airport transfer from your hotel in Arusha at least 3 hours before your flight, to ensure sufficient time to check-in for your flight (TBA) departing JRO at (TBA).
