8 Day TK Lemosho Climb - Advantage Series With a 3 Day Safari to Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire

This safari itinerary is recommended throughout the year.

Arrival

11th June 2023: Anita & Kee arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) on flight QR1499 at 0735

Once you have completed customs formalities and collected your luggage, please exit the airport building and then look out for our driver who should be wearing a black Team Kilimanjaro t-shirt and carrying a placard with your name on it, who will be waiting under a shelter for you at the meeting point outside. Our driver will transfer you to Zawadi House where you will spend your first night in 2 single rooms awaiting for the rest of the group to arrive tomorrow.

12th June 2023: For your day at leisure, please let us know whether you need any assistance with organising activities for this day or whether you wish for your guide to accompany you into town for the day.

Muruggans & Nina arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) on flight QR1499 at 0735.

Our driver will transfer you to Zawadi House where you will meet with Anita and Kee for your overnight stay in 4 single rooms.

Your chief guide will come to Zawadi House for your pre-climb briefing at approximately 1800, during which he will introduce himself, brief you on everything that will be happening throughout the duration of the climb, check any kit that you may have concerns over, issue any kit hire items that have been requested and he will also deal with any final pre-climb administration and answer any questions you may have.

Kilimanjaro

13th June 2023: Your mountain guide and supporting crew will collect you from your hotel at approximately 0730 to transfer you to Kilimanjaro's Lemosho Gate to start your open 8 day TK Lemosho β€˜Advantage Series’ climb, finishing on 20th June 2023.

20th June 2023: We will collect you from Marangu Gate when you finish your climb and will return you to Zawadi House for your overnight stay.

Optional: If requested, your safari guide will come to Zawadi House at approximately 1800, during which he will introduce himself, brief you on everything that will be happening during the safari, and answer any questions you may have.

Safari

21st June 2023: Your Safari guide will collect you from Zawadi House in Arusha at approximately 0700 for transfer to Lake Manyara for morning game drives. Afternoon transfer to Ngorongoro Crater for your overnight stay at Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge in 2 twin occupancy rooms.

22nd June 2023: Early morning descent into Crater for game drives in hopes of witnessing the Big 5. In Africa, the Big Five is made up of the lion, rhinoceros, leopards, elephant and Cape buffalo. All of these animals are viewable within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, including the crater and are protected thanks to the wildlife conservation efforts of Tanzania.

Afternoon transfer to Tarangire National Park with game drives en route to Tarangire Sopa Lodge for dinner and overnight stay in 2 twin occupancy rooms.

23rd June 2023: Morning game drives within Tarangire National Park.

The Tarangire National Park is known as a wonderful birding destination and also features large numbers of game, particularly during the dry season, when the Tarangire River is the only source of water in the area. The landscape is of particular interest too, due to the high number of scenic baobab trees.

Late afternoon transfer to Zawadi House in Arusha for your overnight stay.

24th June 2023: You’ll need to check out of your hotel by late morning. However, if you wish to wander into town for the day, you may leave your bags with reception and may continue to use the hotel’s facilities. Please let us know if you need a guide to accompany you or if you wish to organise any special activities today.

Please be ready to be collected for your airport transfer at least 3 hours before, to ensure sufficient time to check-in for your flight (QR 1476) departing JRO at 1755.
