6 Day TK Rongai Climb - Advantage Series with Safari to Tarangire & Ngorongoro Crater

This itinerary is recommended throughout the year.

Arrival

24th December 2022: Transfer from Ameg Lodge Kilimanjaro in Moshi to The Outpost Lodge in Arusha at (TBA).

25th December 2022: Day at leisure at The Outpost Lodge.

Your chief guide will come to your hotel for your pre-climb briefing at approximately 1800, during which he will introduce himself, brief you on everything that will be happening throughout the duration of the climb, check any kit that you may have concerns over, issue any kit hire items that have been requested and he will also deal with any final pre-climb administration and answer any questions you may have.

Kilimanjaro

26th December 2022: Your mountain guide and supporting crew will collect you from your hotel at approximately 0730 to transfer you to Kilimanjaro's Naro Moru Gate to start your 6 day TK Rongai ‘Lite Series’ climb, finishing on 30th December 2022.

30th December 2022: We will collect you from Marangu Gate when you finish your climb and will return you to your hotel in Arusha for your overnight stay.

31st December 2022: Day leisure at The Outpost Lodge.

1st January 2023: Day at leisure at The Outpost Lodge.

Optional: If requested, your safari guide will come to your hotel at approximately 1800, during which he will introduce himself, brief you on everything that will be happening during the safari, and answer any questions you may have.

Safari

2nd January 2023:  Your safari driver will collect you at around 0730 from your hotel in Arusha and transfer you to Tarangire National Park for a game drive. Late afternoon transfer to the Karatu for overnight at Marera View Lodge.

3rd January 2023: Transfer to crater rim (around 1 hour). Descend into Crater for game drives in hopes of witnessing the Big 5. In Africa, the Big Five is made up of the lion, rhinoceros, leopards, elephant and Cape buffalo. All of these animals are viewable within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, including the crater and are protected thanks to the wildlife conservation efforts of Tanzania.

Late afternoon transfer to The Outpost Lodge in Arusha for your overnight stay.

4th January 2023: Please be ready to be collected for your airport transfer from The Outpost Lodge at least 2 hours before your flight, to ensure sufficient time to check-in for your flight (FLZ 105) departing ARK at 1000 to ZNZ.
