
8 Day TK Lemosho Route - VIP Eco Series Climb with 9 Day Safari to Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater & Serengeti - with flight
This safari itinerary is recommended for the discerning traveller visiting from June to November - as this is when the migration is expected to be in the Mara Region - and who wants to minimise wasted transiting time in the vehicle.
Arrival
9th September 2023: Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO).
Once you have completed customs formalities and collected your luggage, please exit the airport building and then look out for our driver who should be wearing a black Team Kilimanjaro t-shirt and carrying a placard with your name on it, who will be waiting under a shelter for you at the meeting point outside. Our driver will transfer you to Machweo for your first night stay.
10th September 2023: At leisure at Machweo, please let us know whether you need any assistance with organising activities for this day or whether you wish for your guide to accompany you for the day in town.
Your chief guide will come to Machweo for your pre-climb briefing at approximately 1800, during which he will introduce himself, brief you on everything that will be happening throughout the duration of the climb, check any kit that you may have concerns over, issue any kit hire items that have been requested and he will also deal with any final pre-climb administration and answer any questions you may have.
Kilimanjaro
11th September 2023: Your mountain guide and supporting crew will collect you from your hotel at approximately 0730 to transfer you to Kilimanjaro's Lemosho Gate to start your open 8 day TK Lemosho βVIP Eco Seriesβ climb, finishing on 18th September 2023.

18th September 2023: We will collect you from Mweka Village when you finish your climb and will return you to Gran Melia for your overnight stay in a Red Level Junior Suite Mt Meru view.
Optional: Your safari driver will come to your hotel at 1800 to brief you about the next few days events and to answer any questions you may have about safari arrangements.
Safari
19th September 2023: Pick up at around 0845 from your hotel in Arusha for transfer by vehicle to Tarangire National Park. Late afternoon transfer to Lemala Mpingo Ridge Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
20th September 2023: Morning game drive in Tarangire National Park. Afternoon transfer to Lake Manyara with game drives en route to AndBeyond Lake Manyara Tree Lodge for your overnight stay.
21st September 2023: Morning game drives in Lake Manyara. Afternoon transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area via Karatu for a visit to an authentic Maasai boma en route. Overnight on the Crater Rim at AndBeyond Ngorongoro Crater Lodge.
22nd September 2023: Morning game drives in Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Afternoon return to AndBeyond Ngorongoro Crater Lodge to spend the afternoon at leisure for lunch and overnight.
23rd September 2023: Early morning descent into Crater for game drives in hopes of witnessing the Big 5. In Africa, the Big Five is made up of the lion, rhinoceros, leopards, elephant and Cape buffalo. All of these animals are viewable within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, including the crater and are protected thanks to the wildlife conservation efforts of Tanzania.
Afternoon transfer to Seronera region of Serengeti with game drives en route to Lemala Nanyukie Lodge for your overnight stay.
24th September 2023: Morning game drive in Seronera region. Afternoon transfer to northern Serengeti in pursuit of the Wildebeest Migration. Dinner and overnight at AndBeyond Klein's Camp.
25th September 2023: Full day game drives within the heart of the Wildebeest Migration, to include patrols along the Mara River in the hope of witnessing the the River Crossing - the annual highlight of the worldβs safari calendar. Late afternoon transfer to Lemala Kuria Hills Lodge for your first night stay.
26th September 2023: Early morning transfer to launch site in the Mara Region of Serengeti for hot air balloon ride in aerial pursuit of the Great Migration.
Afternoon return to accommodation for lunch. Late afternoon you will be taken to a view point close to camp for a sundowner picnic with some drinks. After sunset, you will be returned to Lemala Kuria Hills Lodge overnight stay.
27th September 2023: Morning game drives along the Mara River area in the hope of witnessing the dramatic Wildebeest Crossing. Afternoon transfer to Kogatende airstrip for flight at 1455 to Arusha, arriving at 1820.
Met by driver at Arusha Airport and transferred to Gran Melia in Arusha for your overnight stay in for your overnight stay in a Red Level Junior Suite Mt Meru view.

Zanzibar
28th September 2023 to 1st October 2023: You will be met by driver in Zanzibar for transfer to Pongwe Beach Hotel for your 4 nights stay at Pongwe Beach Hotel / Melia Zanzibar in one of their Beachfront Suites on half board basis.
