6 Day Safari to Tarangire, Lake Manyara and Serengeti - With Flights
This safari itinerary is recommended from July to October when we expect the Migration to be in the far north of Serengeti, and for someone who wishes to minimise transit time.
31st August 2023: Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) on flight TBA.
Once you have completed customs formalities and collected your luggage, please exit the airport building and then look out for our driver who should be wearing a black Team Kilimanjaro t-shirt and carrying a placard with your name on it, who will be waiting under a shelter for you at the meeting point outside. Our driver will transfer you to The Outpost Lodge for your overnight stay.
Your safari guide will come to The Outpost Lodge at approximately 1800, during which he will introduce himself, brief you on everything that will be happening during the safari, and answer any questions you may have.
1st September 2023: Your Safari guide will collect you from The Outpost Lodge in Arusha at approximately 0700 for transfer to Lake Manyara for game drives. Afternoon transfer to Lake Eyasi for your overnight at Ziwani Lodge.
2nd September 2023: Very early morning transfer from your lodge to a location recently reconnoitred by your local Eyasi guide, where we will find some Hadzabe Bushmen hunters to join on their morning hunt, learning aspects of hunting and survival training along the way. Afterwards, we move to a larger settlement where we meet the Hadzabe ladies and learn some of their foraging skills.
Afternoon transfer to Lake Manyara for your overnight at Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge.
3rd September 2023: Early morning transfer to Lake Manyara airstrip for flight at 0820 to Kogatende airstrip, arriving at 1005. Met by your second safari guide for late morning and afternoon game drives within the north region of Serengeti.
Afternoon transfer to TWC's Mara Under Canvas Tented Camp for your first nights stay.
4th September 2023: Morning transfer to the Mara River region of Serengeti for game drives within the National Park in pursuit of the wildebeest migration.
Late afternoon you returned to TWC's Mara Under Canvas Tented Camp for dinner and overnights stay.
5th September 2023: Early morning transfer to launch site for hot air balloon ride in aerial pursuit of the Great Migration.
Spend the afternoon exploring the Mara Region in search of the wildebeest migration. Late afternoon return to TWC's Mara Under Canvas Tented Camp for dinner and overnight stay.
6th September 2023: Morning game drives along the Mara River area in the hope of witnessing the dramatic Wildebeest Crossing. Afternoon transfer to Kogatende airstrip for flight at 1455 to Arusha, arriving at 1820. Met by driver at Arusha Airport and transferred to your hotel in Arusha.

7th September 2023: You’ll need to check-out of your hotel by late morning, however, if you wish to wander into town for the day, you may leave your bags with reception and may continue to use the hotel’s facilities. Please let us know if you need a guide to accompany you or if you wish to organise any special activities today.
Please be ready to be collected for your airport transfer at least 3 hours before, to ensure sufficient time to check-in for your flight (TBA) departing JRO.
