7 Day TK Rongai Climb - Advantage Series with a 3 Day Safari to Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater - with flight
This safari itinerary is recommended throughout the year.
2nd June 2023: Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) on flight TBA.
Once you have completed customs formalities and collected your luggage, please exit the airport building and then look out for our driver who should be wearing a black Team Kilimanjaro t-shirt and carrying a placard with your name on it, who will be waiting under a shelter for you at the meeting point outside. Our driver will transfer you to The Outpost Lodge for your overnight stay.
Your chief guide will come to The Outpost Lodge for your pre-climb briefing at approximately 1800, during which he will introduce himself, brief you on everything that will be happening throughout the duration of the climb, check any kit that you may have concerns over, issue any kit hire items that have been requested and he will also deal with any final pre-climb administration and answer any questions you may have.
3rd June 2023: Your mountain guide and supporting crew will collect you from your hotel at approximately 0730 to transfer you to Kilimanjaro's Rongai Gate to start your open 7 day TK Rongai Route ‘Advantage Series’ climb, finishing on 11th June 2023.

9th June 2023: We will collect you from Marangu Gate when you finish your climb and will return you to The Outpost Lodge for your overnight stay.
Optional: If requested, your safari guide will come to The Outpost Lodge at approximately 1800, during which he will introduce himself, brief you on everything that will be happening during the safari, and answer any questions you may have.
10th June 2023: Your TK driver will collect you from The Outpost Lodge in Arusha for your transfer by vehicle to Arusha Airport for flight to Seronera airstrip at 0745, arriving in Serengeti at 0855 where you will be met by your Safari Guide.
Morning game drives within Seronera Region of Serengeti. Late Afternoon transfer to Serengeti Serena Lodge for your overnight stay.
11th June 2023: Early morning transfer to launch site for hot air balloon ride in aerial pursuit of the Great Migration.
Late morning game drives within Serengeti. Afternoon transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area for your overnight stay at Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge.
12th June 2023: Early morning descent into Ngorongoro Crater for game drive in hopes of witnessing the Big 5. In Africa, the Big Five is made up of the lion, rhinoceros, leopards, elephant and Cape buffalo. All of these animals are viewable within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, including the crater and are protected thanks to the wildlife conservation efforts of Tanzania.
Afternoon transfer to Arusha for your overnight stay at The Outpost Lodge.

13th June 2023: You’ll need to check out of your hotel by late morning. However, if you wish to wander into town for the day, you may leave your bags with reception and may continue to use the hotel’s facilities. Please let us know if you need a guide to accompany you or if you wish to organise any special activities today.
Please be ready to be collected for your airport transfer at least 3 hours before, to ensure sufficient time to check-in for your flight departing JRO / ARK.
