8 Day TK Lemosho Climb & 6 Day Safari to Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Serengeti & Eyasi
20th September 2022: Arrive into JRO at 2010 on flight KL 567. Met by TK driver and transferred to Outpost Lodge in Arusha, where you are booked in on HB basis. (Please order your dinner from the menu and let us know ahead of time as the restaurant closes for orders at 2100).
21st September 2022: Arusha Town Tour (USD 20 per person) - a guide will come to meet you and show you around Arusha, the craft markets (where you can usually meet some local Maasai), local produce market and / or anything you expressed an interest in during the pre-tour briefing.
1800: Mountain guide briefing to discuss events over the next few days and check your mountain gear. Overnight at Outpost Lodge on BB basis.
Kilimanjaro
22nd September 2022: Your mountain guide and supporting crew will collect you from your hotel at approximately 0730 to transfer you to Mount Kilimanjaro to start your open 8 day TK Lemosho βAdvantage Seriesβ climb, finishing on 29th September 2022.
29th September 2022: We will collect you from Mweka Village when you finish your climb and will return you to The Outpost Lodge in Arusha for your overnight stay in a double room on bed & breakfast basis.
Your safari guide will come to your hotel at approximately 1800 to introduce himself, answer any questions you have, and complete your pre-safari briefing.
For traditional Tanzanian food this evening we recommend Andrews Restaurant, walking distance from the Outpost.
Safari
30th September 2022: Your safari guide will collect you from your hotel at approximately 0730. Transfer from Arusha to Tarangire National Park for game drive. Overnight at Marera Valley Lodge.
1st October 2022: Transfer via Ngorongoro Conservation Area to the Mara Region of northern Serengeti, with game drives along the way. Overnight at Mara Kati Kati.
2nd October 2022: A driver from Serengeti Balloon Safaris will collect you from your tented camp at approximately 0500 to ensure that you arrive at the launching site by 0600, ready for take-off at 0630. You will then watch the balloon inflation before boarding the hot air balloon. Your flight will last for approximately 1 hour, floating over the worldβs most spectacular national park.
After your flight you will celebrate in the traditional way with a sparkling wine toast before heading off to a special βOut of Africaβ bush breakfast.
Serengeti game drives near the Mara River and amongst the Great Migration, in the hope of a possible sighting of the wildebeest herd river crossing. Return to Mara Kati Kati for overnight.
3rd October 2022: Morning game drives in Serengeti as we transfer south to Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge for overnight, with stops at the Olduvai Gorge & Museum and Shifting Sands en route.
4th October 2022: Early morning descent into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive. Afternoon transfer to Kisima Ngeda for overnight near Lake Eyasi.
5th October 2022: Early morning hunt with the Bushmen, with tuition in survival skills. Afternoon return to the Outpost Lodge for overnight.
6th October 2022: Transfer after breakfast at around 1000 to Arusha Airport for tour flight at 1245 to Zanzibar.
Zanzibar
6th October 2022 (continued): Arrive at Zanzibar (ZNZ) Airport at 1420 on flight CQ 134. On arrival at the airport, please proceed into the Arrivals Hall and look out for a driver from Dhow Palace Hotel who should be carrying a placard with your name on it. Your driver will transfer you to Dhow Palace Hotel for your overnight stay in a double-share room (bed & breakfast).
7th October 2022: Explore Stone Town (with a guide). Return to Dhow Palace Hotel for overnight in a deluxe double-share room (bed & breakfast).
8th October 2022: Morning at leisure in Stone Town. Transfer to Warere Beach Hotel at 1315. Depart at 1600 by taxi to Nungwi / Kendwa beach for your sunset dhow cruise at 1630 for a two-hour cruise. Return to Warere Beach Hotel for overnight in an Ocean Front Bungalow (full board).
9th October 2022: Relax for the day or perhaps book a day trip or activities via your hotel. Overnight at Warere Beach Hotel in an Ocean Front Bungalow (full board).
10th October 2022: Relax for the day or perhaps book a day trip or activities via your hotel. Overnight at Warere Beach Hotel in an Ocean Front Bungalow (full board).
11th October 2022: A driver from your hotel will transfer you to Zanzibar (ZNZ) Airport, allowing time to travel to the airport to check in for your flight, departing at 0900 on Flight CQ 131 arriving at ARK at 1035.
Arusha & Departure
11th October 2022 (continued): Met at ARK at 1045 and transferred to the Kilimanjaro Animal CREW Rescue Centre for Nature Walk from Makoa Farm with picnic along the way.
Transfer to KIA Lodge for early dinner at 1800. Transfer at 1900 by KIA Lodge driver to JRO for departure at 2110 on Flight KL 567.
