5 Day Safari to Northern Serengeti with Flights
Recommended when the Great Wildebeest Migration is in the north of the Serengeti, from June to October.
Safari
Day 1: Collected from your accommodation in Moshono at 0630 and transferred to Arusha Airport for the Coastal Aviation flight at 0745, arriving at Kogatende at 1005 where you'll be met by your Nasikia driver for game drives with lunch box in an open-sided vehicle. Dinner and overnight at Nasikia's Kazkaz Mara Tented Camp.
Day 2: Game drives in the Mara River region in pursuit of the Wildbeest Migration and in the hope of witnessing the most dramatic event in the world's annual safari calendar - the crossing of the Mara River. Nights at Nasikia's Kazkaz Mara Tented Camp.
Day 3: Morning game drives in the Mara River region. Return to camp for early lunch.
Transfer to Kogatende airstrip for Coastal Aviation flight at 1455, arriving at Arusha Airport at 1820, where you'll be met by a TK driver and transferred to your hotel in Arusha.

Zanzibar
Day 1: Pick up at your hotel. Transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO) for Precision Air flight at 1650, arriving into Zanzibar at 1810. Met by driver and transferred to Sunshine Marine Lodge.
Day 2: 5 nights at Sunshine Marine Lodge in one of their Blue Breeze Suites on half board basis.
Day 3: Transfer after check out from Sunshine Marine Lodge to Zanzibar Airport for Precision Air flight at 1710, arriving to Kilimanjaro Airport at 1930. Met by TK driver and transferred to Rivertrees for overnight, where you'll be reunited with your stored luggage.
Kilimanjaro
When considering an ascent of Kilimanjaro we frequently receive enquiries about what climbers should expect in terms of temperatures and precipitation. While this information is of course useful, it tells only a very small part of the story in terms of informing a climber how they should prepare.
Tipping is a universal custom on Kilimanjaro and on safari and has always constituted a significant proportion of a guide or porterβs salary. It is alleged that there are even companies operating locally that do not pay their staff any salaries and that these workers rely exclusively on tips.
